Christy Kilgour has spent his professional life managing rural property, equestrian and landed estates on behalf of a variety of owners including many who live abroad.

A lifelong interest in the countryside and horses has shaped his career. Following long spells working at Strutt & Parker and subsequently at Knight Frank, where he was in charge of the firm’s agricultural management and equestrian property portfolio, Christy moved to work privately on the client side when he joined Mountgrange Stud in 2005. In charge of a diverse and international portfolio of land, property and bloodstock it provided an ideal opportunity to combine a profession in property with a passion for horses. It was also a solid education in delivering the true level of focus and reporting that a private client service needs.

The experience gave the impetus to set up Kilgour and Co. in 2009 to offer other clients a similarly dedicated property, bloodstock and management resource. His professional grounding, specialist knowledge, an extensive network of contacts and the rare ability to make things happen sets Christy apart as a skilled “fixer” and trusted advisor in the rural property and equestrian worlds.
